Ultimate Angler Challenge 2008 Fishing Tournament Rules

All state fishing and boating regulations apply, check the waters you are fishing in. Valid Minnesota fishing license required (resident or non-resident angling license). Any team violating tournament rules, or state laws, will forfeit all their points.

Tournament hours are 8:00am - 3:00pm. Boats must stay within 100 yards of launch prior to take off.

Fish measured and scored in inches. The head must touch, mouth closed, and the tail may be pinched. Fish will be scored as seen in photo.

Weather: Only lightning or severe winds can cancel fishing. Check with tournament officers.

Life jackets are required to be on anytime that your boat is above troll.

One hour of fishing = full tournament.

Anyone pre-fishing on the day of the tournament will forfeit all points.

Dead Fish: there’s a 5 point deduction for any dead fish, more than one dead fish and your team forfeits all points. You can take any fish to be verified with the Tournament Directors and get them scored at anytime. Official scoring boats will be available on the water, please use them and get the fish back in the water as soon as possible.

Disputes: All protests must go to the Tournament Director within 30 minutes of the tournament end time. The Tournament Director’s decisions are final and not disputable.

Scoring: All scores made according to our official fish species, length, points, and bonuses as described. All scores and scoring sheets must be in, within 30 minutes of the end of the tournament.

Tie Breakers: 1) Total Points scored; 2) Total length of fish; 3) Longest Fish, in the event of two big fish of identical length, 2nd biggest fish will decide, etc.; 4) Coin toss.

Keep it FUN!!!! Always practice good sportsmanship, and help each other out when they need it!! Create a positive image for others.

It is, understood, that each individual is responsible for their own actions, and that the rest of the teams and the Multi-species.com are not responsible for the actions or liability incurred by any individual angler.
(Every tournament angler must read and sign a registration form before participating. Each team is responsible for their boat insurance and equipment.)
This form gives permission for Multispecies.com to publish any photos or video taken for the fishing tournament(s) listed above to be used for promoting fishing as multispecies .com sees fit. These photos and/or videos can be used on the web as well. These photos and videos will be the sole property of Multispecies.com.
As an angler in a Multispecies.com event, I will not hold the tournament, tournament anglers, or tournament officials, responsible for any injury or damage incurred during tournament activities, and I will be solely accountable for any consequences of my actions. I will to the best of my ability, adhere to the rules of the tournament, as well as be responsible for the actions of my fishing partner.
