Ultimate Angler Bass
2008 Bass Fishing Tournament Rules

1. All state fishing and boating regulations apply, check the waters you are fishing in.  Valid Minnesota fishing license required (resident or non-resident angling license).  Any team violating tournament rules, or state laws, will forfeit all their points.
    
2. Tournament hours are 8:00am - 3:00pm.  Boats must stay within 100 yards of launch prior to take off. 
    
3. Fish scored on weight only.  Minimum length is measured in inches: head must touch, mouth closed, and the tail may be pinched.  All fish must be weighted at the landing. 
    
4. Artificial Baits Only.  NO LIVE BAIT allowed.
   
   
5. Weather:  Only lightning or severe winds can cancel fishing.  Check with tournament officers.  
    
6. Life jackets are required to be on anytime that your boat is above troll. 
    
7. One hour of fishing = full tournament. 
    
8. Anyone pre-fishing on the day of the tournament cannot fish the tournament and gets a zero weight.
    
9. Dead Fish:  there’s a 0.5 pound deduction for any dead fish, more than one dead fish and your catch will not be scored or weighted, and your team will get a zero weight for the day.  Take great care with your catch.   
    
10. Disputes:  All protests must go to the Tournament Director within 30 minutes of the tournament end time.  The Tournament Director’s decisions are final and not disputable.
     
11. Scoring:  Total weight.  Five bass limit.  Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass only.  12 inch minimum length.  Points are based on weight, i.e.  5.06 pounds = 5.06 points.
     
12. Tie Breakers:  Big Bass Progressive.
     
13. Keep it FUN!!!!  Always practice good sportsmanship, and help each other out when they need it!!  Create a positive image for others.
     
14. It is, understood, that each individual is responsible for their own actions, and that the rest of the teams and the Multi-species.com are not responsible for the actions or liability incurred by any individual angler. 

(Every tournament angler must read and sign a registration form before participating.  Each team is responsible for their boat insurance and equipment.)

This form gives permission for Multispecies.com to publish any photos or video taken for the fishing tournament(s) listed above to be used for promoting fishing as multispecies .com sees fit.  These photos and/or videos can be used on the web as well.  These photos and videos will be the sole property of Multispecies.com.

As an angler in a Multispecies.com Ultimate Angler Bass event, I will not hold the tournament, tournament anglers, or tournament officials, responsible for any injury or damage incurred during tournament activities, and I will be solely accountable for any consequences of my actions.  I will to the best of my ability, adhere to the rules of the tournament, as well as be responsible for the actions of my fishing partner.
